St. Louis on December 27, 2010

The following is a short article and picture of a get together in St. Louis on December 27, 2010 from Mark Landwehr. I thought it gets to the point of what all of this is about and wanted to share with everyone.

ZXAA encourages others to gather in similar groups around the country and share with ZXAA the experience. ZXAA will assist in running a directory listing of alumni in your area , provide postcard invitations, and pay for postage. ZX is a special group and we need to stay together. “Together we can achieve great things”.

From Mark Landwehr:

We started the Christmas luncheon 3 years ago when Curt Boggs suggested a few of us get together. There were 5 guys the first time, 7 the second and 10 the third.. Each time someone new shows, they love it and name a few other guys we need to get a hold of for next year.. In each case, if a brother attends who hasn’t seen another brother for perhaps 40 years or so, they are amazed that within a minute or two, they’re up to speed and laughing about things they remember a lifetime ago… I’m struck by how fortunate everyone feels…and everyone has tales to tell of a life well lived….. But there is something that the fruits of our career labor can’t buy……and that’s the memories we shared in our youth.. For a group of old geezers who all have trouble remembering things, we recall every detail of meaningful moments in the late 60’s and early 70’s.

From Left to Right, the names of those in attendance are: Mike Shank, Curt Boggs, Mark Landwehr, Doug Murray, Mike Bolinger, Wayne Richert, John Reuss, Steve Holloway, Dennis Babbit and Tom Dickey.

Zeta Chi Referrals for Colonization Spring 2011

We have reached the point in time where our number 1 objective-Re colonize Zeta Chi-is about to unfold. This is the email I have been wanting to send for almost 6 years. Let there be no question that without the alumni, Zeta Chi would not be returning to Missouri State University in the Spring of 2011. Great job ZX alumni, thanks for your support!!!

This Spring PiKA National will come to MSU and recruit the colony for Zeta Chi. Recruiting will be done with referrals from professors, coaches, VIP’s on campus, alumni and others. These young gentlemen will be the building blocks for Zeta Chi and its future.

Zeta Chi alumni have been there from the very beginning. Whether it was joining the Zeta Chi Alumni Association (ZXAA), renewing annual memberships, attending the annual meeting or local event, contributing to Rally Around the Truck, words of encouragement, or giving of time and effort, ZX alumni stepped up and made our success. We are a special group.

We now need your help in finding and recruiting SLAG’s. Scholars, Leaders, Athletes and Gentlemen. Please send me an email with the name, address, age, phone numbers, and email of any ZX prospects you may have that are attending MSU or may in the future. This list will be given to the PiKA National recruiters coming to MSU this spring. The best source of referrals comes from within our own. Let me know who you think may have interest in the re colonization process of ZX. You can email me at jcr4362@sbcgloblal.net.

Much more will be sent to you on the re colonization process as it unfolds. I look forward hearing from you with your referrals. From the entire ZXAA committee, Merry Christmas and have a Great New Year!
